Foulness Bike ride in aid of Essex Air Ambulance

On the 8th September 2013 Tracy Hutchins took part in the Foulness Bike ride in aid of Essex Air Ambulance.

The Essex Air Ambulance is a vital life-saving Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for the County. They are solely funded by the community and receive no direct Government funding or money from the National Lottery. It cost in the region of £250.000 every month to cover all aircraft operations and charitable cost, and having Doctors on board means they can provide enhanced critical care at the scene. The Doctors work alongside the Paramedics bringing two sets of skills to the benefit of patients, which enables life-saving procedures to be carried out that would not otherwise be possible so early in the treatment process.

Unfortunately Tracy only completed 21.91 miles of a 23 mile course as she had a cycling accident early on in the ride, but of course was very proud of what she did achieve.

Tracy managed to raise £150.00 in total for this cause.
